Massive, raw, fuzz
PowerMuff is a compact fuzz inspired by the classic Muff style sound, but with a Thermion redesigned gain structure and tone control. The result is a wide, dense distortion with the signature wall of sound effect, but with more mids, more control, and a more defined response, keeping an aggressive character that works well in a band context.
Equipped with two modes, Classic and Modern, it goes from a traditional fuzz with long sustain and an enveloping texture to a more creative mode featuring Starve and Cut behavior. In Modern mode, the signal reacts more strongly to pick dynamics, creating a choking effect and a gated character that shortens note tails, opening up expressive options for riffs, intros, and staccato parts.
Its 100% analog circuit and main controls make the adjustment simple and effective, helping you quickly find the balance between thickness, definition, and presence. It also includes internal adjustments to fine tune Modern mode behavior and the amount of low end, adapting precisely to different guitars, amplifiers, and setups.
Hand built in Spain as part of the PowerBolt series, PowerMuff combines a compact format, robust construction, and a powerful, versatile fuzz sound, covering everything from classic walls of distortion to more dynamic and creative textures.
